Cincinnati is no stranger to being a music city, with a rich history of record labels, venues, legendary performances and a long list of influential underground (and not so underground) bands and musicians.
Some of the current contributors to this history are carrying on a tradition that can be traced back to the ’70s (as exemplified by the 2019 Hozac Records compilation, “We Were Living in Cincinnati: Punk and Underground Sounds From Ohio’s Queen City 1975-82”) and are creating and influencing each other as any great creative community does.
